Michael has extensive experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies, along with other public and private companies, on a broad range of complex transactions, including platform and add-on acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, carve-outs, strategic mergers, structured growth investments, dispositions, special situations transactions and joint ventures. He also counsels clients on general corporate and governance matters.
While Michael’s practice has included exposure to a wide range of industries, he has deep experience across core healthcare verticals, including with respect to providers (MSOs and CPOM structuring), revenue cycle management and payment technologies, outsourced pharmacy services, medical device manufacturing and distribution, behavioral health and addiction clinics and more.
Prior to joining Massumi + Consoli, Michael was a partner at Goodwin Procter. Before that, he practiced at Kirkland & Ellis.
Michael received the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar Award for superior academic achievement. Additionally, he was a Notes Editor of the Columbia Business Law Review.
