Jeff advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, other strategic investment firms and other public and private companies on executive compensation, employee benefits and labor matters within mergers and acquisitions, financings and other complex transactions, as well as general corporate matters.
He regularly advises clients regarding the design and implementation of compensation arrangements, such as incentive and deferred compensation, profits interests, stock options, bonus plans, restricted stock and other equity and cash-based compensation structures, as well as executive employment agreements and separation packages. Jeff also provides counsel on the tax, securities and regulatory issues associated with such arrangements.
Prior to joining Massumi + Consoli, Jeff practiced at Freshfields. He also worked as a Senior Associate at PwC.
During law school, Jeff served on the Editorial Board of the Hofstra Law Review as the Alumni Affairs Editor and received the Marvin Gutter ’76 Graduate Tax Award for excellence in the field of taxation.
