Shon has extensive experience advising private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies and institutional investors, along with other public and private companies, on a broad range of complex transactions, including leveraged buyouts, platform and add-on acquisitions, carve-outs and divestitures, strategic mergers, structured minority and growth investments, dispositions, special situations transactions and joint ventures. He also counsels clients on various general corporate and governance matters.
While industry agnostic, Shon has led numerous transactions across a wide range of industries, including software, technology infrastructure, applications, government services, telecommunications, wireless technologies, healthcare, life sciences, energy, manufacturing, consumer and transportation.
Shon serves on the board of IncludeNYC, a New York-based nonprofit organization that helps families of children with disabilities identify and access the services they need.

Prior to joining Massumi + Consoli, Shon spent more than fifteen years as a Partner at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, where he was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, served as its Firmwide Lateral Partner Recruitment and Growth Manager and led its firmwide Corporate and Securities practice. Before that, he was a Partner at Bingham McCutchen. He began his legal career at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
