Massumi + Consoli Earns Chambers USA Recognition Across Its National Practice

With a New Practice Ranking in New York and Continued Recognition in California, the Firm’s Chambers Profile Now Reflects Its Nationwide Reach

Massumi + Consoli, a nationwide law firm recognized for its leading private equity and M&A practice, has expanded its presence in the Chambers USA 2026 guide, earning department-wide rankings across three practice areas in California and New York along with individual recognition for two of its attorneys. Founded in 2015, the firm has ascended into the prestigious Chambers USA rankings at a record pace, joining firms with substantially longer institutional histories.

Across the guide, clients voiced a consistent set of themes: commercial savviness, responsiveness and the ability to handle sophisticated matters with a level of professionalism that drew comparison to far larger firms. Chambers described Massumi + Consoli as a go-to choice for bespoke counsel, with recognized strengths spanning private equity, M&A and tax in two of the country’s principal markets.

Massumi + Consoli has once again been ranked in California: Private Equity: Buyouts, where Chambers described the firm as “highly-regarded” and focused on representing private equity clients in middle market transactions, with “excellent counsel in LBOs, carve-outs and add-ons, among other transactions, across a broad range of industries.” Clients praised the team as “nimble, responsive and commercial,” noted that M+C attorneys “can very quickly become subject matter experts,” who “understand my business very well,” and pointed to the firm’s “deep understanding of the private equity business, deal execution and advocacy for our interests.”

The firm again holds its Band 1 ranking in the California: Los Angeles & Surrounds Corporate/M&A: Highly Regarded table. Chambers recognized the firm for its “talented, mid-market focused team” and its expertise across corporate and transactional matters, supported by in-house specialist capabilities. Clients described the team as “practical, responsive and sophisticated,” “very capable of focusing on the important issues” and able to handle “very difficult situations with supreme professionalism.” Founding partners Peter Massumi and Anthony Consoli are recognized as notable practitioners for this practice.

This firm earned its first ranking in New York: Tax, with Chambers noting that “Massumi + Consoli is vastly becoming a go-to choice for clients seeking sophisticated and bespoke advice across the tax area,” advising private equity funds and other clients across domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. Clients noted the firm “has invested in strong technical practitioners who achieve practical solutions” and described its tax lawyers as “careful, thoughtful, knowledgeable and diligent.” Ryan Roberts is recognized as a key contact for the practice.

In addition to the firm’s department rankings, the 2026 guide grants individual rankings for two of the firm’s attorneys:

Founding Partner Peter Massumi has been ranked for the first time in Private Equity: Buyouts in California, a significant individual milestone, with clients describing him as “amazingly commercial and very even-tempered” and standing out “for exceptional judgment and commercial pragmatism.”

Adeeb Fadil has once again been ranked as a Band 1 lawyer in Environment: Mainly Transactional in New York, described by Chambers as “a top environmental transactional attorney” sought out to handle the full range of environmental issues in corporate deals. Adeeb has been ranked by Chambers for more than 20 years, including 19 years as a Band 1 lawyer.
